I was working since two years with a well known organization and as per normal policies I resigned the organization and got separated.
As per regular procedure after 60 days of resignation I applied for withdrawal and it it has been 2 months it is still with my employer, when I called up to inquire I was told that the PF rules have been changed and Managing director of the organization should sing the PF withdrawal form and in my case it is an organization with 50000 employees so I was informed by my payroll team that after they come up with a conclusion they will be able to process the PF forms.
Is the explanation given by then is correct/if not how do I proceed further.
As per PF rule,It is the duty of the employer under the Act & Scheme to help Employees' Provident Fund organization to settle the Provident Fund dues of his employees. He has to complete the prescribed application within 5 days of receipt [para72 (5)] forms & hand over it to the member when he leaves the service.
