ooom6, Can you please specify whether your RTI Application is to a Central Public Authority or to a State (AP) Public Authority ? The rules governing Central and State PA's are different. (For example, Central Rules do not allow payment of Fee by court fee stamp while AP rules also do not allow payment by court fee stamp) Application fee for Rs 10/- can be paid by Indian Postal Order (IPO) available at any Post Office. Just leave the "pay to" line blank, cross the IPO and send it with your application to the PIO with the comment: "Enclosed is a IPO for Rs 10.00 , IPO Nr......dtd.........issued by PO:.................. towards application fee for this RTI Application. Kindly fill in the "Pay to" field at your end since I cannot find any information on your website as to in who's name should this be". You can send your RTI application by Registered Post AD. So that your AD card (after it is returned to you) acts as proof of submission. |

Moved to ASk for RTI Query' forum from Ask for framing RTI Application. Regarding Payment: If you are applying under Central Government Ministries, you can deposit fees at the Post office too and get the receipt from the Post Office and also send the application through Post Office too.

Since the rules allow court fee stamp. you can very well affix that and use Registered AD for sending the RTI application. |
