Income Tax Refund

I would like to know what can be done to get refund from Income tax department, and it is due since 4 to 5 years,having came to know cheque are issued very long before but it had been kept on hold by despatch department as they are expecting some money in return as bribe or something like that I would like to know what is the procedure to bring this people to book as everyone is involve from peon to big head officer, and I know once I make a complaint they are going to harass me in form putting by tax file for accession order will harass me so much and will force me to give bribe to this type of thugs,Bhikari's, guskhor chors, for which I am not ready, even anti curruption office is also full such peoples, so whom to trust to submit my complaint,So will anyone help me in this regards.

File an RTI application to IT Department and seek the status of your refunds. You will get information without difficulty.

Tried every possible letters and RTI application submitted personally at income tax Office but as everyone is involved from top officer to bottom of staff,nor I got reply nor any RTI reply from the dept even I did not got the refund too. So my application is been not passed to concern office at all even I got the copy of reciept with income acceptance stamp on it but they telling it is not there ofice stamp. so all this has gone in vain since 4 to 5 years.

Send your application by speed post. Do not visit the office. Did you file first appeal? If not file now if it is not time barred. Otherwise send fresh application and follow First Appeal if you do not receive a reply within 35 days.Even though you get no reply, you can complain to CIC.
