how to get information of progress of development of a case dear sir,
one of my friend has lost jewellary of wife during journey.
he lodged a police complaint in bangalore.
it is now 10 month old case.
till now progress of police inquirry is not known.
he fears that if he applies through rti...same police will book some false case against him!!!!
kindly advice how to approach the situation?

It is slightly difficult to assess a hypothetical situation.
I would suggest you file a RTI application.
A Public Authority receives a number of RTI applications every day, to victimize all of them would be difficult.
