Hi My father had invested in Sterling Tree Magnum in the 90s and got some Teak Tree certificates. The scheme is also supposed to give us land associated with each tree. I came to know from the internet reports that there has been a long standing court case initiated against Collective Investment Schemes and STM was also listed in it. Reference in the SEBI website is 10140/03 and case is dated 1999. http://www.sebi.gov.in/cis/cis_prosecution_data.html When I tried to contact the office, they said the case is still pending with the court and that we can deposit the certificates and get some household items on face value of the certificate. I am not interested in that, as that would mean loosing all the interests part accumulated for these years. Could you please let me know, if some information on this could be obtained. |
