Import of Drugs through Bangaluru Airport.

Office of the Commisioner of Customs ,Bengaluru has issued a communication on 20th Oct 2009 under C. NO VIII/48/236/239/CUS TECH/1005 for appointment of Mr.Manivannan as an officer from Customs at the Bengaluru airport for getting NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE in case of export of drugs throuhg Bengalure Airport.

I wish to know whether he is empowered to give clearance for IMPORT OF PERMITTED drugs also throuhg BENGALURU airport.

If he is not the authorised officer, then who else is empowered for this.

Regarding this, whom should I approach for knowing the status.
