delay in GATE stipend

Respected sir,
Myself Ghanshyam Dakre, i am doing my M.pharmacy in Dr. D.Y.Patil institute of pharmaceutical sciences and research, pimpri Pune. I qualified GATE in 2008 and take admission in above college but till date i didn't get a rupee. As per rule i must get it on month basis but it's 16 months over now. So please suggest me the way, and also i want to know about the RTI office in pune . Thanking you.

File the rti application to the PIo of Ministry of human resourses of india With fee of Rs 10 in terms of IPO. you will get your info within 30 days I u donot get info Appeal to FAA in MHRD.

I am suresh kumar G joined as M.E.(cse) graduate in [GCT] Government College of Technology, Coimbatore in year 2007-2009 batch through the GATE-2007 Allotment with (85% percentile) from Anna University Chennai (counselling venue).

And till to date 17/03/2010. Me and my friends who are eligible for GATE stipend have not received even a single paise from AICTE through GCT.

And now recently got an information from our college GCT that AICTE (Delhi) as sanctioned a bulk amount. But the problem is that the AICTE has not mentioned clearly how much amount is to be distributed to each and every student. And now the GCT Office people waiting for an Government Order of how to split the amount to each one.

And here started a new issue as if a particular student has an arrear during first semester means, he will be receiving only Rs.2000 through out the end of his studies, even though if he clears it in next semester also. This rule is been said by our GCT college.

so i needed to know whether is there any of these kind of Rules framed by AICTE, Such as the particular person who holds an arrear in first semester will not be given stipend amount fully. (i.e. Rs. 2000 only and not Rs. 5000 per month).

Give a solution, In order to get the full fledged information about this issue where we have to contact.

You can file a RTI application with the PIO of AICTE and seek the certified copies of all rules and regulations governing the payment of such stipend as well as all conditions under which such stipend can be stopped.

In GCT they allocated 21 GATE students + 4 Non GATE students. Total intake is 25 Members. GCT staffs told that Actual Intake in 18 members in that 70% is eligible for GATE Stipend. I dont know how they made intake as 25 members.

At first they told that GATE stipend will be split up and share to 21 Students.

And now recently got an information from our college GCT that AICTE (Delhi) as sanctioned a bulk amount. Give a described details for the following queries

1. Any rule in AICTE for 70% of people only get stipend. (From actual intake)

2. In my class 21 GATE members were there. But actual intake is 18 members (Whole class) in that 70% is 14 members will get Stipend (Any AICTE norms). Share amount between 21 members. How much will we get each ?

3. If any arrear in between the semester then stipend amount will be Rs 2000 /- only (Any AICTE norms) are there.

Our people are awaiting for the Stipend. Please help me with detailed AICTE norms.

I Chandra Shaker, on behalf of all 15 GATE candidates from our batch, writing this in utmost bad feel.

We are the students of VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, batch 2007-2009, under VTU Belgaum from VTU Extension center SJCE Mysore. We have got a valid GATE score and took admission through the proper counselling in the above said college. We have been told that the GATE students will receive thier monthly stipend from their college and it has also been told to all the students of other branches.

Now our concern is that the students of other branches have got their stipend on monthly basis, and ours is the only branch who didn't get stipend for even a single month.

We have been into regular touch with VTU Dean, VTU Registrar, VTU VC, and of them say the same thing "we are trying to get information from AICTE/MHRD but they are not replying at all, and will let you know as soon as they release your money, and meantime you also try calling and keep writing your complaints to AICTE and MHRD"

We are really in a bab need of money, as we have to repay our loans, and the interest is keep getting high every year.

Its almost three years gone and there is no positive reply form neither VTU nor the college even then by trying all possible ways.

Please help us in releasing out stipend, and let us know what can we do from our side to get is as soon as possible.

you please write to RTI for the information, and you will come to know what steps they have taken for your GATE stipend issue, and where the block for releasing the stipend. This should be taken strictly by RTI for the wellbeing of students....
