Question: RTI application returned ,what is to be done?

Dear sir,
My RTI application is returned by courier kindly guide what should i do?
It was address to:the public information officer
c/o Maharashtra chamber of commerce,Industry &Agriculture

Dear sir,

Returned means its returned by next courier ,
So many be after going through it ,
instead of replying its simply packed & sent back to sender again!
how should i cross check if any formality is remaing?

There are many solutions. If you are very sure that your addressee is a public authority, please arrange to get the 'proof of delivery(POD)' from your coureer. Normally they take two weeks time. If you insist they may arrange to provide you the photostate urgently. Once you get it wait for 30 days from the date of delivery to complete. Forget that you received your application back . Let the PIO say that he has returned it and let him explain its reason. I am presuming that it is not returned undelivered as stated by you. File the First Appeal on expiry of 30 days from the date of delivery of your application to the PIO pleading that the PIO has not provided you the information requested . If I am in your position I will not give any indication of receiving it back.

Oh!
This is the first time i tried RTI act and already getting feeling of it!
Now i wll have more xerox of Formatof application for obtaining information under the right to information Act ,2005.

I wish inform you background for this rtiapplication:

The Maharashtra chamber of commerce,Industry & Agriculture ,
had organise conference on "Opportunities& challenges in Horticulture/floriculture in Maharashtra"

It was on 14th & 15 March 2008.

During the conference some study matterial with files cum folder was distributed ,
but most of the things were explain with the help of projector on screen in hall (,all slides
shows & some short movies)

I requested for the same saying i have pen drive to recive it ,
I would require the information as that is the only source of
revision of events .
I wonder what is preventing them ?
Now this rti application seems to be ignored,lets see ,if they delay it ,
it wont be much use to me ,as i have recollect the events of conference with
the slides.
Anyway hope for the best.

Please proceed as suggested by Col kurup, but first ensuring that MACCIA comes under the ambit of RTI i.e whether it's a Public Authority or not .The website , maccia.org.in has neither RTI section nor any reference wrt PIO. Please recheck:
