Why can't I post in this thread?

I tried to respond to this post (rtiindia.org in the news).

A box pops up to inform me that I am not allowed to post there. I already have a post in that thread. Any reasons? Is it because of any flouting of rules on my part?

Thanks, but I posted after trying to do it at different times.

I tried it again now, and here is the message I get:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Is it that this thread was created in a separate forum head, and subsequently moved to "announcements"?

Yes, you are right, Announcement area is meant for posting by us. However, it has been changed, please see if you can now.
