Hi I want to file RTI Application for IT Refund. I have filed my IT Return in ward 48(4) , new delhi. Please advise to whom should i send the application and how ?. Best Regards, LAXMI KANT |

Laxmikant, Your assessing officer for your ward/circle is himself the CPIO under RTI Act 2005. You can file your RTI application directly to him. The application fee is Rs. 10/- to be paid by Draft/BC/IPO payable to "Accounts Officer". Just search for the threads with the tag "income tax" and you will get all the information. Please also visit the "Guide" segment of this portal (link available at the top right side of every page) to learn more about how to draft a RTI application, how to submit, etc. If you have any doubts, please post the draft of your application here and our helpful members will guide you in this regard.
