Imp decisions of SICs.

1.I suggest that imp decisions of SICs should find place at this portal on regular basis.

2.I also request to provide site-map, for not so techno-savvy members like me. In the beginning I found this site 'too complicated to navigate and understand full coverage'. New members should not face this problem.

This is difficult to do for SIC's (already being done for CIC) under the section "Appeals and Decisions" (RTI News, Circulars and Decisions - Appeals & decisions at rtiindia.org).

The reasons being that most SIC websites have no "search" facility, some decisions are in local language, no regular updation, some do not even post their decisions/orders.

Even CIC site, in its links to states section , does not have causelist of most of states barring 5/6,and as far decisions/orders, two states carry the honour of nil display - Sikkim and Kerala.
Besides , decisions/orders are of utmost importance ,if they become precedence and bindings like Supreme court decisions and High court decisions,even foreign courts decisions in some cases. Are decisions of CIC bindings on other SICs ,or even on ICs for subsequent decisions on similar cases/subject/situation ? I doubt whether even a CIC Full bench Order/Decision has any bearings legally for subsequent decisions ?

Can some learned member please enlighten me on the question I have raised above?

It is not all decisions of all SICs. Only those decisions of SICs which have important bearing on RTI effect should be covered.

As and when members come across such decisions, they can post them in the "Appeals and Decisions" section of the forum.

That is what we are doing right now.
As a result they are dispersed and haphazardly placed in the forum.

So there is a need to place them in an orderly mannner in a single post/document as pointed out by JPS.

It upto the Forum Admins to look into this and suggest ways to implement it.

May I suggest that we keep a template of important sections alive so that members can post important decisions on that Section. It may include the decision of SICs as well as CIC. For examaple let us say Section 2(f). Under the important decisions segment there should be a page of Section 2(f). If I come across any vital policy deecision on this Section, I can post it in an abridged form that "the ... SIC vide his orders No.... has ruled that ...... I may give a short case description also. " Good enough. Anyone needing any information on that particular section can easily search this section and get the useful information.

I find the CIC's website very convenient to get decisions. Just click on "search" and type the section no. and all the decisions of the cic relating to the section will be listed. For example i wanted decisions on "third party information". i typed "third party" and all the decisions in which the word third party appeared were listed.
