A Novel Prayer To Eradicate Corruption
At least a dozen different organisations including the well known Transparency International (TN Chapter) & the Fifth Pillar, are organising a Joint Prayer on 21.02.2010, Sunday Morning from 7.00am to 7.05am
According to Mr P Chandra Bose(Advocate, Madras High Court), President of the Tamilnadu Anti-corruption Movement, the subject of this short prayer reads thus:
"Oh God, please help us to release and save India from the clutches of Corruption. Long live (with all blessings), the present and past honest and straight forward officials of the Government and their Family Members"
The hand out released by this group exhorts all citizens to use the RTI Act extensively.

Re: A Novel Prayer To Eradicate Corruption
Will such actions create serious awareness on corruption or will it look like a gimmick or joke on corruption. Though the organisations are genuine, this particular method appears to be diluting the seriousness of the issue. Ofcourse, views may differ.Sponsorer

Re: A Novel Prayer To Eradicate Corruption
Mr Chandrabose, the advocate who has initiated this, is trying to generate public opinion against corruption in some new way to start with. Last week, when I was returning from office, he was travelling in the same train and faced a lot of adverse comments from those to whom he distributed the handbill. Smilingly he asked many: " At least can't you pray from your heart for the welfare of those who are honest?"

Re: A Novel Prayer To Eradicate Corruption
We have to appreciate this novelty initiation. Very meagre response, if any, is also a good impact
