I have been working as Assistant Engineer in Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited, which is Public sector company. I am a physically handicapped person due to my right leg was affected due to polio of 50% disability. Now Iam in promotion list for Assistant Divisional Enginner, but the management has keen to transfer me to other power plants on promotion even though there are some vacant ADE posts also. Is there any rule to Physically employed persons not to transfer to other places..... please reply me...

As per DOPT OM No.AB-14017/41/90-Estt.(RR), dated 10-05-1990, it may not be possible or desirable to lay down that PH employees belonging to Group A and B posts who have All India transfer liability should be posted near their native places. But it is applicable to C & D category. However, request for transfer to or near their native places may also be given preference.
