SIC directs action on govt officials on community certificate Was unable to post this on any of the NEWS forums. Hence picked this forum. There are as yet few cases of penalties being levied under RTI, so I thought this was interesting. The story itself has to do with denial of a community certificate to someone who entered an inter-caste marriage. Best, -Murgie      |

A fair and well thought of decision and examplary deserving punishment. Should become a precedence for subsequent similar cases at CICs/SICs level, and deterrance to other PIOsand AAs,if they ever bother to go through decisions by higher authorities/SICs/CICs.
