Need Help: Income tax refund - Bangalore

Hi Friends,

I have to get tax refund for assessing year 2007-08. On the incometax Bangalore website I got an email id (itprbangalore@rediffmail.com) to send grievance to PRO. When I emailed them yesterday with all my details and also attached the acknowledgement scanned copy in the email. I received a reply within three hours that I have to wait for couple of months. Can any one help me to know the exact status because I'm not sure when they say "couple of months". I have attached my email and reply from PRO for your reference.

Sir,
The returns for the A.Y.2007-08 are being taken up for processing in the chronological order. You are reqquested to wait for a couple of months more.

Why not refer GUIDE SECTION on home page [top right hand side] on incometax refund or my blog on it or model RTI appln for Income tax redund delays on home page?

Gururaj,

Why don't you reply back to the PRO by email and ask him what he "exactly" means by couple of months and that if he can give you an approximate number of months, you will not disturb him till that month.

Hi, Will I be able to delete the message as I do see that the message appears with all my personal details. With one small google search, its providing my personal details, I do fear of mis use of the same. Can you please guide me on this.
