My case in a Distt Consumer Redressal Forum against a big mobile service provider was dismissed despite the fact that I had provided the court with enough documentary evidence in support of my claim. Even copy of judgement was not being made available to me, apparently to deprive me of my right to appeal with the State Consumer Commission. Would like to know that can I seek some details from the Distt Forum under the RTI Act. 1. The number of complaints received by the Distt Forum against that particular Mobile service provider during the past 10 years. 2. How many of the cases were decided within the mandatory time limit of 3 months. 3. The total number of cases that were decided in favour of the applicants and how many were dismissed/went in favour of the Service provider during the past 10 years. 4. The reason for delay in deciding my case (it took over 14 months). 5. The number of times my case was adjourned with reasons thereof. Would like to seek the help of fellow members in drafting these questions. |

U can very much seek info under RTI. Consumer Dist Forum works under State and hence you have to file application as per UP state rules. You may visit my blog where in I have posted rules and format for UP RTI appln. Address it to PIO, Dist Consumer Forum where your case has failed. Simultaneously file appeal before state forum without delay as there is some time limit. I think Faridabad is in UP.
