Gujarat rti rules amended
As a result of writ petition filed by Shri Amit Jethwa of Khamba village of Amreli District, Gujarat RTI Rules have been amended on 22-03-2010 to include Indian Postal Orders and Revenue stamps for payment of filing fee. GR is at http://gswan.gov.in/Gujarat%20Right%...Rules-2010.pdf
Shri Amit Jethwa had filed writ petition in High Court of Gujarat to ease difficulties of villagers who were finding it cosstly and difficult to pay filing fee by demand draft or by affixing non-judicial stamps.
Shri Jethwa recently also compelled the Govt to post additional two information commissioners, through a writ petition to ease delay in decision of appeals and complaints to GIC.
