Dear Sir,
I want to know some important information from AXIS Bank Ltd. and I have right to them under right to information act 2005 but they replied that the AXIS Bank Ltd. is a Private bank and the right to information act 2005 is not applicable on the AXIS Bank Ltd.

Sir, Kindly Inform me that right to information act 2005 is applicable to the private banks or not?

RTI is not applicable to private sector banks/organisations. However you can file RTI application with its regulator like RBI seeking info required of Axis bank. RBI can provide under section 2[f] of RTI act.
