Re: information on RTI
If you do not get the information you sought within 30 days, then the next step is to file a First Appeal for "deemed denial" of information.Sponsorer
Please read: Time limits specified in the RTI Act - RTI Guide
A sample first appeal for deemed denial is attached to the following post: http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/27882-...html#post99423
Just change it to suit your requirements and file it within 30 days of the date when you were supposed to receive the PIO's reply.

Re: information on RTI
Dear Aakash
a. RTI procedure is :Time limits specified in the RTI Act - RTI Guide
1. RTI Application with Fee to PIO
2. If no reply/ not satisfied with reply in 30 (or 35 days in case of submission to APIO or under Section 6(3)),
First Appeal to the First Appellate Authority (normally a officer higher than the PIO)
3. If no reply/ not satisfied with reply in 45 days to the First Appeal, then Second Appeal to the CIC/SIC (time period is 90 days)
b. Better wait for 40 days from the date of your application in case of no reply file first appeal. First appeal can be filed with any higher officer (than PIO) in the same office/department.
c. Do check rules before filing first appeal. In some states rules provide format for first appeal and applicant needs to pay some fee for filing first appeal. These rules are available here: RTI Guide
For detailed information on how to draft & file an RTI application, please see the "All About RTI" links on the homepage & RTI Guide section of the portal.
