Hi Guys, This is my first tussle with RTI. i stay at mumbai. Havenot got my tax refund for last year.. I went through the link to find out who is the correct cpio for me. the link is as provided in the incometaxmumbai site incometaxmumbai.nic.in/rti_cpios.html so much confusing information there for a novice like me  i am not able to understand to whom should my RTI query go. also not able to understand whom should my postal order go. I know the pio's are supposed to redirect the queryto appropriate PIO but they wont as my friends have toldme. so please help. please let me know where should my query go to..     |

Sandeepraj, The assessing officer for your ward/circle is himself the CPIO under the RTI Act. Just send your RTI application to him with a application fee of Rs. 10.00 by DD/BC/IPO payable to "Accounts Officer". |
