Unanswered: Stolen car Insurance

Dear Sir,

My car got stolen in 11 Jan 2008 Santro hundai which I purchased second hand the insurance was valid till June 2008 from Iffco tokyo general insurance. But this was in name of first owner. I tranfered RC of card on my name and was waiting to renew insurance from some govt general insurance company approxmately after 7-8 monmths from the date of purchase on 11 jan 2008 this car got stolen. I informed my insurance company same day and registered FIR. Now I got Final Report from court also. But insurance company is now saying that this is no claim as you have not transfered insurance on your Name though insurance is valid.

Kindly help and show me the way as I am not rich man to get new car this is loss of 1.25lakhs which is unbearable for me.

Thanks
Manish Kanna

Dear friend,

Welcome to the RTI India community. You may post any of your queries relating to RTI issues.

This appears to be a case of deficiency of service and you may be required to file a complaint with the consumer grievance redressal forum of your district.
