I have some query would you help me..............
Sub- Regarding passport Delay
File no. CHDZ36191109

Hello, I have applied for a passport on 3rd of Dec 09, but not yet received it. Current status is "Application has been transferred to policy section, Please See the PRO", what is this PRO and why my application is transferred there? My Application Number is CHDZ36191109 . Sir please help me out how can i get my passport ASAP its very urgent for me . please reply me either on my mail or on this blog ..

U can file RTI application with CPIO of RPO for the status of your passport.

The Hyderabad passport website says the following message ...

"Police Report is clear and the passport is expected to be despatched by 29-03-2010. Subject to all documents being in order."

Question?
1. How do I know when the passport is dispatched?
2. This status is there for almost 4 weeks?

Is there anyway to expedite the process.....

Thanks to the entire forum for ur interest and enthu in helping people use their most important right: Right To Information

My uncle and Aunt applied for Passport renewal in November and they have not got it yet. When they Inquired in Feb, they were told that process was done and they would receive it in another 5 days. But they still did not get it.

I want to help them raise RTI pitition to Passport officer, Hyderabad.
I need following information:

1) Should I submit the pitition in Passport office? If so, to whom?
2) Should it be addressed to Passport officer?
3) I read that we can submit in post offices too. But where can I get the list of designated post offices which accept RTI pitition?
