Re: To bring erring builders to task

RTI Act may not be of much help over here.
The best thing is to go to a consumer forum to seek redressal to this deficiency of service on part of the builder.

Re: To bring erring builders to task

if you have paid money to the builder and not received due service, the only way to discipline the builder is legal action in a consumer or higher forum. it would be much better if all the affected persons join together to present a collective petition. RTI act would be of little use here.

Re: To bring erring builders to task

Perhaps I was not clear I was refferring to the differences with regards to the advertisements/spaces earmarked for the residents in terms of schools etc which the builder changes with a change of plan due to his trading land with other developers.I thought it was convenient trade land and file and ask approval for a new plan.Is the townplanner not required to inform a RWA of it.Here you had infrastructure earmarked for lets say 100 families now u acquire land and have 150 families. The DTP does not ask the builder about the infrastructure developed that was promised for the last 5/6/7/8 years of existance or how much infrastructure has been developed or with the new additions what has been added.
