Information on cic web site

One area where the Central Information Commission still needs improvement is the use of technology. It takes days before the status of applicants gets updated on the web portal of CIC. Most of the time the information on the status of appeals/complaints on the web site remains unchanged even days after some action has been taken.
Going by my personal experience the status of my appeal as on date on the CIC web site remains as received the appeal whereas the CIC has issued notice to the PIO and the AA to come out with comments on my appeal on 04 Jul 08.
The CIC is still using conventional modes like sending a letter by Speed Post/Registry which at times take a lot of time. The letter dated 04 Jul 08 reached me on 10 Jul 08 at the local address. The Office of CIC could have provided this information over the e-mail address provided by me in my application.
