THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A voluntary organisation has filed a case against former Finance Principal Secretary Jose Cyriac and several other officials of the Finance Department in connection with the alleged misappropriation in the information provided under the Right to Information Act regarding the one-rank-one-pension scheme.

Secretary of Thiruvananthapuram-based Right to Information Protection Forum N.Rajendran had filed the petition before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court III here recently. The court has issued summons to SC/ST Development Department Principal Secretary Paul Antony and Kannur District Collector Ishitha Roy who are witness in the case.

The petitioner, alleged that the accused had manipulated the file pertaining to one-rank-one-pension scheme by tampering with 116 pages of the file with the intention of denying the benefits of the one-rank- one-pension scheme to a section of the pensioners.

The others accused are finance pension-wing former additional secretary Ponnamma Mathew, additional secretary D.Solaman, deputy secretary A.R.Ajaykumar, finance officer S.V.Kala and section officer V.Ajayakumar.
