Dear Sir, My wife is working as insurance advisor. The commission paid by company after deduction of service tax & income tax. In financial year 2003-2004 we were in aurangabad , maharastra and we filed for tax refund , which we got within two months. Thereafter we shifted to mumbai due to transfer of my services. Since financial year 2004-2005 i am regularly filing income tax returns in mumbai for claim of income tax refund of my wifes income from insurance commission, which is far below the taxable income. But I didnot get a single return till date. Please tell me wheate RTI can be used to know the status and reasons for refunds not forthcoming.It would be of great help if you can tell me how to proceed in the matter. GIRISH GUPTA      |
