retirement My father has been retired from Rly. service in Jan. 2008. Till date he did not get a portion of his due after retirement from Rly. He has no case pending against him. Can I seek information regarding this from the appropriate authority under RTI Act? Can Rly. deny to provide information in this regard to me?

Has your father enquired from the railways ,regarding delay in paying his dues ,through normal channels available? If there was no response from the railways to your queries ,in a reasonable period , by all means prefer an RTI Application seeking required information.Railway authorities are obliged to provide your father information as per RTI Act.
