Hi Everybody, This is Lisa from Mumbai. I have not got my Income tax refunds for the past 3 years. I hear there is an Ombudsman appaointed to look into this. I am looking for the address of the Ombudsman for Income tax refunds in Mumbai. I hope you guys can help me out with this. Love Lisa       |

Lisa, Your assessing officer of your ward/circle is himself the CPIO. Please file a RTI application with him attaching a Rs. 10.00 IPO/Bankers Cheque/DD payable to "Accounts Officer". For help and guidance regarding how to draft a application, mode of payment, how to submit, etc. , please visit the Guide segment of this forum (link available on top right hand side of every page). Please also read some of the threads with the tag "income tax refund" or just search for the relevant threads using the search function. |
