postal order

I have send an application to PIO ( Madhya Pardesh ) and also filed an appeal enclosing the postal order for rs. 50 however in both the cass they have refused the accept the postal order saying M P RTI rules does not permit this. please guide

RTI fee: Rs. 10/- by Cash or Non Judicial Stamp.

Always file RTI application with application fee (as per rule/in your case its Rs.10) only if additional charges have to be paid the PIO will inform u the same in writing. U need to pay additional charges then only.

the practical difficulty is that many times non judicial stamps are not available. So can I send Rs. 10/- in cash along with the application by post.

जी नहीं, आप ऐप्लीकेशन के साथ दस रूपये कैश नहीं भेज सकते। वैसे इस में कोई विशेष दिक्तत आती नहीं है। मेरा अनुभव यह रहा है कि दस रूपये का इंडियन पोस्टल आर्डर भेजना ठीक रहता है, आसानी से मिल भी जाता है, लेकिन नगद कभी नहीं भेज सकते।
