We have been mailing the Dy. Registrar of Co-op. Societies (R-Ward) at Malhotra House, Mumbai 400 001, copies of all correspondence to our society but there has been no action taken by them. The minutes of meetings are neither circulated to members nor displayed on the notice boards by the managing committee. The managing committee of our society is functioning as a proprietary firm and not co-operative society.
Can we approach any higher authorities besides the registrar? Please advise.

U can file RTI appln against inaction of Dy Registrar by refering to my blog "any thing pending in Govt", by following Maha RTI rules available in GUIDE section [right hand top of this page]. U can modify queries suitably. Pl file appln with Public Information Officer Office of Dy Registrar of Coop Soc [R-ward] at the address stated by you by speed ad post. Please also peruse my blog on filing RTI applications for central govt only for guidelines in filing RTI applns.

RTI is made to make govt depts and officers accountable to citizens. Use it and chase it. Members of this portal will be too happpy to provide guidance etc in your endeavour.
