RTI News Posting and Discussions Policy

RTI News & Discussion forum is meant for members to contribute news as and when they happen. The source can be media, or a direct knowledge. However many of the sources consider their news as copyright and hence proper acknowledgment of the same by appropriate method like mentioning the source is necessary.

For News Contributors

1. Provide the news as it is from the original source
2. Always provide the link to the news article and / or mention the name of the author(s).
3. If it is a exclusive article, take necessary permission from the author.
4. Read the News segment before posting a news article, as it might already be posted by other members.
5. There may be moment that simultaneously many members may contribute the same news article which are pending moderation approval, and hence they are not aware about duplicate news already posted. It is our policy that moderators would give priority to news posted earlier, and may at their discretion decide to merge, add, edit the original thread and the one later posted, in the interest of RTI India.
6. If any complaint is received or otherwise from the author about any copyright voilation and is detected by us, we would treat them by way of our policy detailed as under Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Forum Rules and Disclaimer Policy.

RULES

1. All News contributed by members are placed in moderation queue and only after they are approved by our News Section Moderators, they would be online. The Moderators have the capability and authority of either accepting, delaying, editing, adding, or deleting the news article posted in this segment.
2. Because all Posts are put into moderation, unfortunately all discussions (Posts) made in this segment are also placed into moderation queue and would only be online after they are cleared from moderation queue.
3. Many of the authors, usergroups are exempted from time to time by us from the moderation queue and any such exemption is with the sole descretion of RTI India Team.
4. Those members who regularly contribute at our News segment would be given an offer for becoming 'News Digger and Contributor', by which such Members would be given a special status and a label reflected in all of their posts, and also in the 'Forum Leaders Page'. They would be entrusted with the job of posting news un-moderated and also moderation of other news articles. The decision of it is taken by our RTI Team.
