hello!!sir my name is pankaj kumar..n have a problem.one of my frnd 'Ajay Kumar Jha' has cleared KIT(bhubneshar) MCA entrance test 2008..n he also attended its counceling..his rank was 760 and he should have given admission by them.as the councelling went ahead 760 rank.but he was denied admission.and the reason cited by the authority was that "produced certificate is duplicate".when 'Ajay' told them that if u think so then verify abt its authenticity, and they replied that they will make varification n told ajay to contact after 10 days.but the irony is, when he went back to know abt the status of his admission process then he was denied any information.and one of the admission head told him that she will not take his admissin.though we all knw that the certificate is original. now on behalf of my frnd i m asking the question that, what shall i do..its a matter of somebody's career..please guide me through... with regards pankaj |

There appears no need for wasting time for any further information. This is arbitrary and unlawful denial of admission for reasons best known to them. If your friend is absolutely sure of his certificate, there is no reason for him in not raising this issue at all possible levels including approaching media at the earliest before the admissions are closed. This is normal trick of the trade resorted at lower level to bring up candidates of vested interest in the margin for admission. In case your friend has adequate resources, the ideal step will be to obtain a stay order from High Court on all admissions or to keep one seat vacant till your friends case is finalised Last edited by colnrkurup; 07-29-2008 at 11:32 AM. |

In that case you do not have much option other than following the advice given by "jps50" above. You may tell your friend to go to the univiersity, meet the Registrar and explain the case proving the genuineness of the certificate. Success depends on his capability to present his case pleasantly without annoying the Registrar. If he does not suceed he should file a complaint petition addressed to the Vice Chancellor and the authority responsible for admission. If possible try to convince the Press also. But whatever he can do, it should be much before closure of admissions. |
