PF from the closed down company

Hi!

I worked for a company during 1999-2001, which was based at Mumbai, which continously deducted PF from my salary. All of a sudden this company went off.

I don't have the PF account number also. I don't even know whether the PF was deposited with PF office or not.

Please suggest if there is any way by which I can get.

If the company was deducting PF from your salary and you have salary slips, please write with all the details to PF office under whose jurisdiction your company head office was working. Please visit EPFO

If you do not get reply in a month from PF office giving number of pf account, please file RTI application as under:

Were you getting the Salary Slip? All the information is usually in the salary slip. However, you may contact one of your old colleague from that company and get to know the details of the EPF Registration Code (every company is issued a unique Code by RPFC) of that company.

If you cannot do that, File a RTI Application with the RPFC of the area where your company was located and ask the:
01. Registration Details of the company
02. EPF Account No. Issued to you.
03. Details of the present Status of the contributions made by the company.
04. When the last contributions were deposited by the Company
05. If the Company is defaulting, action taken by the RPFC to prosecute the Company
06. The Balance (Employee as well as Employer's contribution as well as interest thereon) lying in your account.

On receipt of reply decide the further course of the action accordingly.
