High standard public schoold invariably avoid admitting children from lower strata. Not because of the loss of income but they consider that it would lower the prestigue of thier schools. You may find highest resistance in getting the information. I therefore recommend that in your initial application you trim the questions in such a way giving no scope to deny. For example you may ask " What is the percentage of seats earmarked in your school for free education to the poor as a contractual obligation for getting government land on subsidised rates." 2. Total number of children/ percentage of children admitted in your schoold for free education under this obligation during the year 2006, 2007 and 2007. 3. Names and addressess of children admitted in your school under this obligation of free education during 2006, 2007 and 2008 . You can ask for detailed information after getting the initial space. |

Yes, it is going to be tough task for me but I am hopeful to get the complete information before start of academic session of 2009. As a start I have asked information only about a single school. Most of the schools have alloted the quota of poor children to their staff or relative of some affluent persons and it will be a toughest task for me to investigate after I get the name and address of the children.
