Is it possible to get RTI from Army for the ARMY GOLF COURSE in Kanpur?

I just want to know on what grounds the army has terminated my membership and what are the rules of the club? Also why there is discrimination as there are several civilian members playing on the same course as a member

You donot have to approach the Army for this. You may apply to the Golf Club Authorities. We are a democratic country. I don't think the Golf Club has any reason to terminate your membership arbitrarily'. They are expected to let you know this without the help of RTI Act. I suggest that you first apply to the Secreary, Army Golf Club , Kanpur. In case it is not forthcoming you may apply to the PIO of Army Golf Club, Kanpur. I don't think the Golf Club has a PIO. They are boud to resist the information pleading that the golf club does not come under RTI Act and it is a private club etc. If you are willing to fight, their claim is like a sieve. It will not sustain. The land of golf club was definetely a government land originally asigned free to the golf club. Its affairs might be managed by serving perssonnel. If you are willing to probe and fight, go ahead using RTI Act

It is not a matter of discrimination between civilians and army personnel. You were given the membership of the golf course, but the same was terminated at a later date. You may ask the Golf club authorities for the reasons of your termination and act as advised by Kurup Sir.
