Jagpreet, 1. RTI Act is applicable to "Public Authorities" as defined in Sec 2(h) of the RTI Act 2005. A good way to test is to just file a RTI Application and see what happens. 2. As per Second Schedule of the RTI Act, some organisations are exempt from disclosing information except for those related to Human Rights and Corruption. The list of organisations notified by the centre is available at the link provided by wehelp. 3. Similarly, some states have also exempted certain organisations under the Second Schedule. Please refer to the RTI Rules for that particular State and the GO's issued in this connection. |
