Who is an RTI Activist? We want to gain suggestions from all of you regarding the definition of an 'RTI Activist', both in terms of description as well as quantification.
At the end of this Poll and discussion, we want to evolve a true definition which is measurable and can demarcate 'all most' safely an 'RTI Activist'; for example if we are zeroing down to 'number of application filed' to be a criterion, then how much should finally make it to the award.
This thread is in reference to following earlier threads:
- http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/3158-t...-activist.html
- http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/4401-n...-sessions.html
There may be many factors not one and there may be other factors not listed in the poll which make up to the correct definition.
Can we evolve definition which we as a community agrees to it?
Vote for as many factors you think are important, and suggest other factors by posting in this thread. Once we know the criterion, we can narrow down to the quantification.
Based on your suggestions, we have plans to acknowledge those who untiringly had worked to help others and made Right to Information a Success!

Re: How do you name an RTI Activist?
In my opinion the activists is one
1. Who Helps citizen to asks RTI querry.
2. Must be uptodate in RTI Knowledge
3. He himself should also practise it or else he will not know the problems faced during the activity.

Re: A True RTI Activist
I feel RTI Helper or facilitator could be a better name than RTI Activist

p.s : number of RTI applications should not be a criterion. The availability of knowledgeable help can be one criterion for selecting one.

Re: Who is an RTI Activist?
An activist is one with a combination of many of the options provided in the poll. We have to vote for one option for want of choice of combinations.
