Hi Dinesh, Actually i am a seeking candidate for admission in a repute institute run by Army Education Welfare Society (AEWS). In the selection procedure there is something which going not right. so can you please help me out in this matter, how ask them to put all process of selection transparent. further to add the institute's name is Army Institute of Management and Technology (AIMT)- Greater Noida. If AEWS is funded or controlled or managed by govt or army, then U can resort to RTI. If it is a non-govt college, pl write to the University to which it is affiliated for the details of admission process by filing RTI appln with the PIO of the University.He has to suck information reqd by u from AEWS under section 2 [h] of RTI act and pass on to you. U can visit university site RTI icon for details of PIO etc. I quote that a 18 year girl through RTI, made IIM bengaluru and other IIMs make their admission process fully transparent and is put on website also.

Army Education Welfare Education is funded by Army and well in the ambit of RTI. You file your RTI application in Army Headquarters or in Ministry of Defense. Pls also read this link on AEWS.

Hi Ganpat, Thanks for the useful link. but i am still in confusion about how to intimate the matter to RTI (through e-mail) and when we can intimate it (whether we have to give them some time for their reply). i would like to show my original mail for you knowledge. here i am not able to attach the excel sheets so paste the matter of 12 Jul 08.xls below the original mail but not past the data of AIMT - initial list for GDPI.xls please take it on priorty and help me. The original Mail which is sent to AIMT and AWES is as below:------ __________________________________________________ ________ ================================================== == Hi, Here two sheets are attached with this mail named 1.> 12 Jul 08.xls & 2.> AIMT - initial list for GDPI.xls I have some issues about the selection procedure, Please go through both the sheets specially 12 Jul 08.xls . in this sheet i have colated all the sheets release for the selected candidates by AIMT itself. I am totally unsetified with selection procedure. something is unfair in this procedure as:- 1> Application NO: 695 - Candidate's Name : Rahul Mishra this person is not called for the GD & PI then how he managed to get selected. 2> Application NO: 515 - Candidate's Name : Rituraj Singh This Application no: 515 is not called for the GD & PI then how he manged to get his name in Provisional Selected candidates. 3> Application NO: - Candidate's Name : 676 Archana Kotwal & 677 Vijay Sharma. These two persons got selected in the 1st list but both dropped, and thier name were removed from the selected list. and thenafter in the 3rd list thier name reappeared as selected candidate. how this happened. 4> As per the notice issued by the institute that all the applicants interested in admission have to submitt thier fee by 8th April 2008. but number of candidates, which are now selected does not submitted thier fee till last date mentioned. so how they managed to get selected. Application NO: 695 - Candidate's Name : Rahul Mishra 5> From 26th to 70th place from PROVISIONAL LIST are declared selected. and if this is true then i should be in the selected list as number of persons from 26th to 70th place does not taken admission and i am the 72nd waiting in PROVISIONAL LIST. 6> Last but not least, I think, in the selection process. some persons are been favoured by the institute as people like Manjul Kumari App. no: 508 with CAT percentile 2.39 , Rahul Ahlawat App. No: 33 with CAT percentile 2.48; Shakidhar Singh App. no: 504 with CAT percentile 8.25 etc. got selected and person like me Pravin Kumar Sinha App. no: 538 with CAT percentile 57.2 is still waiting admission. i think wards of officers are been favoured by the institute. Revert me if you not agreed and if agreed then do something soon.
