all workshops and seminars BUT NO ACTION??

All respected sirs. Why every one is willing to organise workshops and seminars on rti but no one is comming forward to make an application on public concerned causes?? We dont need many lip services but few action oriented activists. Other wise rti will die as minimum wages died

U R right. There is too much discussion. V should help in educating the masses and help them use RTI in solving their day-to-day problems. Only studying the map will not lead us any where, we will have to walk the road. Pl make humble beginning by filing RTI applications for solving immediate problems in the society or locality. U can take assistance of educated youths in identifying problem and following it up through RTI. Good begining is half done. All the best.

Suddenly I could remember one joke in connection with your comments.
The joke was published in "The illustrated Weekly " sometimes in 1976 or so.

The seminar is a gathering of some important persons, who singly can do nothing but jointly can decide- " Nothing can be done"

Now a days it seems that the word ' SEMNAR' may suitably be replaced by--- 'Administration' . Isn't it ?

Slowly people are awakening but we are far away to reach the target.

Most of the people know about the RTI Act, but they still have fear to use it. Who will dare to ask questions to local police and local administration ?

For taking a RTI path one himself have to be honest.

rightly said jps50. we can achieve nothing by merely reading the map . we have to take the road and walk . as far as fear of administrative refercation/victimisation , I think the best way out is you ask queries of my area and I will ask queries of your area .
