Dear Sir, I applied RTI Application but got no reply even after 5 months. Made Appeal but that was also not replied. Long after 5 months I got reply that Indian Postal order are not valid. But in my opinion & niether they return IPO.In my opinion IPO is valid. I replied to them but they dont reply. Kindly put standard copy of application & Apeal on this site so people may use it SKTiwari      |

why you waited for 5 months . keep firing application after applications and appeal after appeal . PM me some details i will fire application from here too.

IPO is valid in case of Central Govt info as per Extraordinary Gazette Notification No. GSR:294 (E) dated 17-05-2006 of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension, Govt of India, New Delhi. If U have asked for info of state govt, U have to follow RTI rules of that state. I do not know of which state U have sought info. Pl refer official website of concerned state govt under rti icon or website of that state info com for mode of payment of appln fee. PIO is mandated in rti act to assist and guide the requestor. U may correct the mode and pay the fee accordingly and wait for 40 days of despatch of filing fee [inclg postal delay]. Then file first appeal.

Please read the Rules pertaining to your State. If IPO is allowed in your state, please do not waste time and prefer a complaint forthwith to the SIC/CIC as the case may be. In case you have crossed the prescribed period, make a fresh application to the PIO strictly as per the Rules of your state and proceed. |
