Yet another complex PF problem, can someone help pls?

Guys, this is Tarun trying to leverage your experience on similar issues.Here is my issue,request your suggestions...

I had resigned from company 1 to join company 2 and I requested the transfer of my PF. The PF transfer did take place as the company 1 has given me the details of the transfer, the amount, cheque number(in name of RPFC Kandivali), clearing bank and date. But when I resigned from company 2 to join company 3 I requested for withdrawl of PF(company 1's PF+company 2's PF) from company 2. I got the PF only for my stay at company 2 but didnt get the PF for the period when I was with company 1....so in nutshell the PF tranfered from company 1 to company 2's account thru regional PF commissioner kandivali has not been credited.

I have already sent a legal notice to company 1,2 and PF commisioner asking PF commisioner to arrange for credit of my PF pertaining to company 1's stay. But as expected there was no answer(surprisingly didnt get the Acknowledgement Receipt of the registry as well!!). I need to know

1. If I can file an RTI application asking for the action taken on my notice or do I hv to send another application to them and then wait for 30 days. My notice was addressed to RPFC Kandivali.
2. If I need to send the application again, is there any ready format available for similar issue,pls share so if any.
3. I am sending a reminder notice,post which I want to take up the legal route. Any advices on this route?

Welcome to this portal. Yours is the fit case for RTI punch. Pl visit my two blogs on PF and "any thing pending with govt?" and proceed. Most of PF problems have got resolved through RTI. All the best.

Dear JP,

Just wanted to confirm my action, shall I send the application to CPIO asking what action has been taken on my notice? Normally you wud send rti application on a request sent earlier...rather than on a legal notice?...is CPIO bound to reply actions taken on notice as well?

Yes, you can definitely ask for action taken report and status of your legal notice or any correspondence or request made to the dept. Pl do not ask what, why, when etc. Wordings of query are important.
