Unanswered: Flat sale deed

Sir can I get the FLAT sale deed through RTI INFORMATION ACT in mumbai I dont have idea to get the flat sale deed can i go through rti they can help me.I am frm karnataka and i dont now where is the office is in mumbai and what is the procedure plz help me

The sub-registrar are divided depending on the city jurisdiction

The offices of Sub-Registrar of Assurance in Greater Bombay are located at the following places –

1. PIO C/o Sub-Registrar of Assurances,
Old Customs House,
Ground Floor,
Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg,

2. PIO C/o Sub-Registrar of Assurances,
Griha Nirman Bhavan,
Ground Floor,
Bandra (E),
Mumbai 400 051. Ph:642 2161

3. PIO C/o Sub-Registrar of Assurance,
Town Hall,
Collector's Office Compound,
Thane (West).

4. PIO C/o Sub-Registrar of Assurances,
Vasai (West).

5. PIO C/o Sub-Registrar of Assurances,
Opp. Station, Kalyan (West).

In case u are staying in mumbai, u can always goto subregistrar office where the docuemnts are registered. Apply on simple stamp paper and u get the certified copy within 7 days. Give all details from the back of the sale deed. if u do not know the registration number etc. u can always request for inspection against again on putting an application on stamp paper. Under registration act the inspection& certified copies are available and u need not apply under RTI Act. where u have to pay more and have to wait for 30 days.

Apply under RTI only if u are not staying in mumbai and then also u have to give the details of the sale-deed otherwise no body will give u information and they will call u for the inspection.

In fact in a recent order CIC has allowed the copies of power of attorney, special power of attorney and will(in case the execuatnt has expires) in my case anil sood VS ADM(East) which is probihibited under indian Registration Act (in case of third party)

Sir I am staying in karnataka and I have only copy of share certificate of flat ,Don't have any registration no of sale deed or any other document to get the deed so for that purpose I want to go through RTI can I

U can ask the information but you are not sure if there is any sale deed or not or whether it is in your name or not. There would be many sub-registrar office. PIO will imply call you for inspection of records. How u are going to find out. Better check the procedure with some broker at mumbai, after that i may be help u or u give all details what ever u know about his transaction, your interest, etc. then only i can give u some guidence.
