Stupid or wise order of CIC vis-a-vis 6 (3) ? Yesterday Ms.Annapoorna Dixit heard a case on human trafficking and national security.
Out of a total of 4 queries none of which were answered, 3 queries pertained to MEA, and the 4th pertained to Home ministry.
Annapoorna Dixit advised the petitioner to file a fresh RTI application to the Home Ministry, and rejected the claim that the MEA should have transferred it to teh Home ministry.
She claims that 6 (3) is applicable only within a single department.
Comments please !!!!!!

It is a 13.8.10 decision and is not yet uploaded on the cic site. But does anyone know of the legal position ?

When I asked her to NOT to set a wrong precedent she got irritated and modified the order after commenting that I had spoilt my chances. I am planning to seek a video clip of the hearing made over video conference.
