Minimum free distance between compound wall and permanent construction.
Dear friends. I would like to request you to share some information relating to Mumbai Muncipal Regulations relating to the minimum free distance between a compound wall and any type of permanent construction. I am not sure but this distance is also known as deads zone, no construction zone, zero construction area etc. Often you come across permanent construction such as garages, small offices etc. which touch the compound wall. These permanent constructions are in addition to the main construction such as buildings, residential societies etc.
The permanent constructions which touch the compound wall cause disturbance to the residents etc. on the other side of the compound wall. There are other elements such as safety issues, loss of privacy.
Please do mention BMC rules relating to the minimum free distance, no construction area etc. between a compound wall and any type of permanent construction. Where does one lodge a complaint relating to such issues in Mumbai.
