dont start helpline . start HELP. every one seems interested in minting money by organising workshops seminars AND helplines on RTI but no one seems interested in extending real HELP. if you really want to help peopleTHEN START SENDING RTI APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF NEEDY PEOPLE.

It is a comletely free service.no attmpt to mint money.Only object of this mail is to familirise with my adress and telephone numbers so that needy people can come to me.I spend money on spreading awareness for RTI ACt

spreading awareness is good but what is use if every one is spreading awareness that certain medicine is very good very good very good . unless you purchase and feed that medicen to many people , to me , that medicene is USELESS .tell me on record , are you ready to ask querry on my behalf???? YES or NO

success of RTI is in its use not in spreading awareness.I am not against spreading awareness . but I am against only spreading awareness without actually using RTI

Many people feel proud that they are president of rti helpline / secretary of rti helpline and so on. But I think if you are not filing rti application for yourself as well as for others , RTI society do not need you , You better go to some nice garden and take a cool nap. RTI is only for those who file application for self and for others.

Lolz! By the way, Mr. Garg here is one of Chandigarh's biggest RTi activist. He has featured in the newpapers here many times. I think his present count of RTI applications is above 300.

Ms. Poonam, we are here to have constructive discussion; not to point fingers to others. So plz desist from such postings.

Yes I am willing to file RTI Applications on your behalf if you are feeling shy of doing the same. Post your query in this forum and I am sure many more members coming forward to do the same. Are you prepared to do it for me/others?

At the same time will you plz let us know how many applications you have filed on other's behalf? And how many of them are in public interest?

There are people who simply try to find faults in others.I believe in taking action and not making speasches and gether publicity.You may or may not like but fact is known to the readers of all newspapers who get my writings very regularly .By the way all these writings mostely consists of RTI matters which has been filed by me.

Come on don't try to find fault but work to help others.Any body from Cahndigarh is welcome to seek help throgh RTI India by sending the matter which can be dealt through RTI

This is imperitive that new membrs read Forum Rules thoroughly before resorting to inappropriate postings.Also new members will do well to go through old threads and posts and understand the contribution of many who brought in credibility to this site.
RK Garg has been doing excellent and selfless work wrt RTI in Chandigarh,writing articles frequently and filing badly needed RTI applications. BY above Post,he is only requesting suggestions to implement his thought/idea/dream.
Please refrain from disparaging remarks.

Only people with strong integrity can express regret .
As for your post 3 above, I do agree with you regarding various gimmicks adopted by people to mint money , even under the garb of RTI awareness.
And your own contribution towards RTI is commendable .

I am reviving this discussion once again.

Now coming on to the core issue of this post by sh. Garg, I am bit curious about the format of this Helpline?
Is it some kind of call center type help line or RTI Clinic Type as it exists in Mumbai? Or is it web based.
Who are the persons going to man this center? How about the logistics? Scope? I request Sh. Garg to elaborate on this.

RTI helpline launched

Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, August 15

With a view to spread awareness about the RTI Act 2005, R.K.Garg, a Sector-27 resident, today started the RTI helpline.
The helpline would motivate people to use the Act, ensure implementation of the Act and help monitor the compliance of public authority with the provisions of the Act.
According to a press note issued here, for any assistance on the RTI-related queries Garg can be contacted at 9872692400.
