Provision to Import e mail ids from address books

There should be privision in this site to invite new members from the address book of Yahoo, hotmail etc.this provision is there in many other social sites eg fropper.com, hi5.com and many others. We should be also able to see which e mail id is already a member here.

Re: Provision to Import e mail ids from address books

We have an option at userCP where a referral link is given which we can send to your friends.You can include this link as your signature in your email options.

However there is no provision to send invitation from board like the other sites where we just fill-in an email address and an automated invitation is send. Admin should consider that option too.

If you keep a standard format of the invite(with your referral id) in a draft form, there is no need to copy and paste every time. You can simply forward the drafts to your friends.

We have no intention of displaying email ids of our members for their own security reasons and to prevent spam.

This feature was in vogue earlier. But with server/host migration, presently it is not available.

I can't say why, but I am not in favour of this provision, as suggested in post No.1

I think it can be done without displaying the email id.
Actually I was of the opinion that this forum should increase the number of members. This would have been easier. If there is any technical problem, it is ok.

Re: Provision to Import e mail ids from address books

H.K. Dubey,
You had a good suggestion. I had implemented the invitation system but with some limitation. You cannot fetch the information from the email accounts for obvious reasons.

Check up the invitation system from your User control panel, the direct link is here;
