Is it mandatory to file RTI application as per given formate ( whereever given)?
In some state rules formate of RTI application is given in rules ( as in Haryana) Is it mandatory to file the RTI application as per given format whereever provided. Though the RTI application are accepted on plane paper but a SPIO has objected kindly suggest. It is a complaint matter to RTI Commissioner.

It is better to stick to the format provided in the relevant RTI Rules.Sponsorer
Just refile the application in the proper format.
Sometimes PIOs will accept applications which are not in that specific format, as long as all the information in the format is given ion the plain paper also.

Sir. my application was accepted by the PIO . I delivered the same by hand, but after 40 days the PIO (,who was a new PIO as the earlier retired) , sent me the the letter that application as per formate ,though my application contains all the requirements.

If all details in your application are the same as those required by the format, then you can certainly make a first appeal for malafide denial of information.

Rule 3(1) of Haryana RTI Rules 2009 states as follows :
Form 3A published by the department is only a model form and need not necessarily be used.A person who desires to obtain any information admissible under the Act, shall make an application, preferably in Model From 'A' to the State Public Information Officer and in his absence to State Assistant Public Information Officer along with fee as specified in sub-rule (1) of rule 5 of these rules.
File a first appeal as PIO is intentionally denying the information using malafide means.
