Information: Thane land classification

I wish to understand the classification of lands in Thane and the way they can be converted from one form to another, what are the charges for the same and which is the legal book of law and where can it be found.

land classification can be converted based on recommendation of village officer, if it is a village panchayat. The process can be done at district collectorate who maintains land and revenue records. You can use RTI to get information from District Collector on charges for conversion of land

Under RTI, you can apply for information that you want to the State Public Information Officer (SPIO) of the Village Panchayat.
