Hi eveybody

What happened the landlord or developer of the plot next to residence has developed his plot and slum on same under SRA Scheme. The Annexture II for the same scheme was passed by Dy. collector in 1996. To get his annexture II approved the developer or landlord has taken the support of my appearance in the voterlist of 1983 and filed affidavite with collector office that the hut owner on his plot has purchased the room from me hence his is procted as his hut was built well before 1985 on the basis of my apperance in voter list of 1983. As per Mah. Govt. Scheme of SRD the huts before the 1985 was declared as slums and eligilbe for alternative dwellings. Now I want the explaintation from the collector office on what basis they declared the slum and slum dweller eligible for alternativ scheme under SRD or now called SRA. As I had never sold any huts to any body vise versa I did not have hut on that plot next to my reisdence . They what ground collector declared the slum and passed the annexture. The affidavite filed is totaly false as I donot know that person or such transactioned is never occured.

So my question is this is totaly based on fales documents with cosent of govt. office. Can I ask for the following explaination to the Dy. Collector under RTI ACt.
1) On what basis they declared the slum.
2) Is they verified the Affidavite and other documents related to that
3) Is only affidavite given by the slum dweller is enough to take so important decesion.
4) Election list of 1983 clearaly indicate that my hut is on plot 369 that is next to said plot. So how come they ingore such thinks when the slum declared on basis of voter list.
5) Name of the suveryor and his present posting.

Yes U can file RTI application with the PIO of Office of concerned Dy. Collector. Pl refer Maharashtra RTI rules for format, fees etc by visiting GUIDE section [right hand side top of this page]. Instead of posing questions U can ask "please provide me certified photocopy of record based on which the place has been declared as slum." etc.All the best.
