this is my point too.we must cause to delete all secrecy clauses forthwith. In my view Assessment ( ACR) of a govt employee by another Govt employee ( superior officer) is a public document and be made available to a citizen of this great country of ours. This will act as the fear of God to people who are making mockery of the system and recommending people for promotion , foreifn tours , foreign assignments not basedon performance but based on personal relations , castes and creed or for profit in cash or kind. i recommend Sec 8 be deleted. |

The Great, Sorry to not have run into your post or thread in which you have asked if anyone has got copies of A.C.R. I did seek copy of A.C.R.'s and as a matter of fact they were not denied to me on any grounds of secrecy or third party etc. They were denied on the ground that the CPIO has been unable to locate them (actually the file is lost, lolz). Presently the matter is pending in court (matter of the file missing). Hope that is somehelp! |

jiwateshwar, How can they lose someones ACR ? I thought ACR's were kept under the controlling officers lock and key. Did they file a FIR for the loss ? |

The excuse given is that the file was transferred with each deputation or transfer. As far as my understanding the file should have been maintained at the directorate level, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. The file could have been in either of the four places, but officers in all the four places deny having it. The third person says he forwarded it to the fourth while the fourth says that no such transfer exists on record. Mera desh mahan. |
